Today we celebrate International Women's Day a global day to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and to continue to push for equality and equity for women across the world. 

As part of the Vendigital celebration, our Women In Vendigital network hosted a breakfast event to showcase the strong female talent that we have within our team and to highlight the role that we all play in supporting equity in our working practices. 

Our Directors Julie Neal and Isabel Thompson shared their career experiences which included their trajectory into leadership via two different routes; Julie joining consulting after a successful career in industry and Isabel working in various different consulting disciplines. Julie and Isabel also shared their experiences of navigating motherhood and family-life alongside demanding careers and how their leadership styles have been shaped by their life experiences. 

Huge thanks to Isabel and Julie for sharing their stories and providing their insight to the wider team. They are exceptional role models for our talented teams. 

As we #EmbraceEquity, we also discussed how bias can impact on women in their careers and how we can all act as allies to high-light bias and inequitable practices or behaviour in our day to day. 

This was the first of many Women In Vendigital events for 2023 and we look forward to many more networking and learning events across the course of 2023.
